Vic Cicansky: The Garden of Art
The Garden is everywhere in Vic's work. It serves as his major source and image and he has re-imagined it in surprising ways.
Sometimes the garden is music. In "Garden Music," a series of baby grands from 1992, a shovel holds a piano cover open while the strings are piled high with garden plants; a kind of 'symphony of the veggies.' In his carved music strands, the symphony is created note by note.
Vic uses the visual arts for his visual art.
