In this workshop Cynthia demonstrates how to create an armature from hollow clay forms using extruded, slab, and dowel formed cylinders. She then fills out and refines the form using both additive and subtractive methods. She explores how a simple armature can be used to support the figure for both solid construction or a combined method. She introduces and then goes into greater detail about the benefits and limitations of the different methods.
