In this workshop Cynthia will demonstrate how to create an armature from hollow clay forms using extruded, slab, and dowel formed cylinders. She will then fill out and refine the form using both additive and subtractive methods. How a simple armature can be used to support the figure for both solid construction or a combined method of solid and hollow forms will also be introduced as well as the benefits and limitations of the different methods.
