Workshop Description:
Animal Nature/ A Study in Bas Relief
In this workshop Lisa will be demonstrating processes of working in both high and low relief, working with the theme of animals.
Each participant will create their own bas-relief project. Participants will be asked to bring reference images of animals they find interesting, whether personal pets, wild animals, or maybe even mythological creatures. Along with your ceramic tools, also bring sketchbooks and drawing materials. We will consider what ideas you are interested in expressing, and how to work your subject material into the overall composition to create a unique and expressive artwork.
